Paul, there’s only ONE ‘dog whisperer’ in my mind! Your book has always been on my ‘required reading’ list.
Funny story: went to a new client’s home recently, and she asked me what I thought of the ‘dog whisper’ book and video… as I was taking a deep breath and reading myself for some PC comments, she turned and took YOUR book and DVD off of her shelf! I nearly hugged her! Lovely woman, and equally lovely English bulldog pup.
Hi Jo,
I’m always fond of picking up some new reading material to help give me more insight on how to better care for my dog. Thank you for this great list. I’ll be bookmarking this page for sure
Paul,
I look forward to your book, I’ll be picking up soon on BN.com.
Warm Regards,
Anthony
Jo,
What a great list! Patricia McConnell and Pat Miller are long time favorites of mine. In my volunteer work in lab rescue, I always recommend their books to new adopters. I am really looking forward to getting myself a copy of Paul’s book, too. Thanks so much for these recommendations.
Sue

Most people feel crate training pets is bad. The idea of crate training is to have your family dog to listen to your instructions. It can be for his or her very own saftey, however quite often its useful to test their particular compliance together with behavior. The first thing in crate training must be to get the optimum place for the puppies cage. Think about the actual thought regarding using a crate should be to offer your pup his or her own place, as well as get him or her used to the thought of being away from your loved ones. But it should also allow him to view what is going on.
