Get published by a fun local Boston dog magazine and resource.
Writers Guidelines:
Do you love dogs? Are you a decent writer? OK, then we want to put your articles on the web! Some content we might work to massage in order to get it close to what our readers expect - great non-fiction about dogs. If you have any dog fiction, we’d also be glad to publish that as well!
When an article is accepted, we generally run the article on the site as-is without further modification. We also generally offer a small payment, which is negotiable. Also if you are looking for further exposure, we offer an excellent avenue to get your byline out there.
Length:
Between 500 and 2000 words - whatever you are comfortable with. Longer is preferred.
Types of Articles Needed:
Reviews of local dog friendly services and places in and around Boston. Current health issues and concerns for pet owners. Dog news analysis. Book Reviews. Training tips. Dog Health. Interviews with local Dog People. Articles with pictures preferred.
Notification of Acceptance:
When an article has been accepted for publication in an upcoming issue, the author will be notified usually by e-mail. We don’t do anything with “snail mail” - send your article through the form below or to brian@dogboston.com
Time Needed for Reply:
Anywhere from 1 to 5 business days.
